Introduction

 

 

 

Although Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, I have only really been involved with the Belgian Shepherd Dog since the early to Mid Nineties and only started showing them in 2001, so I am relatively new to the Breed, but that does not mean that my enthusiasm for the breed is any the less.

 

I was first introduced to  Belgian Shepherds by Amanda Mclaren of The “Corsini” Kennel, when working in Quarantine Kennels in Surrey. One day Mandy Brought “Carlos” (Opium Van De Hoge Laer) with her and I went to Mandy’s car with her to have a look at him, Carlos jumped out of the car, placed his paws on my shoulders and gave me a BIG Belgian Hug and Kiss, so it was “Carlos” who convinced me that a Belgian Shepherd was the dog for me and he was not wrong.

 

 I like Belgians for the way they  look, their intelligence, their loyalty and their cheeky sense of humour.   there was no other Dog for me and I promised myself, that as soon as I was able, I would own one of these beautiful dogs.

The rest, as they say, is History (even if at the moment it is only a brief one!)
